Aller Vale ring
handled vase in Sandringham pattern, the scrolls of which end in a
dolphin terminal (see Artisans book for a similar vase done by
Marcucci) However, the seller has be assured that this pot was
probably done by Charles Collard. 8.5 inches high. There is a
small area on the shoulder of the vase where possibly a small
fragment of iron ore may have been in the clay, which on firing has
resulted in a small rusty looking mark on the surface.
